Don't you just hate that!?!

My friend made this darling wreath for Valentine's Day, and me being the queen of copy wanted to make one. Headed to the Hobby Lobby and got my wreath for 1/2 price, cute plaid ribbon and tulle that was on sale. It is Saturday night and I am coming to the end of this darling project and I run out of tulle. Now I am going to wait until Monday and hope that they have tulle that is the same color. Oh well, I have primary work to get done and a job to find and a sick son and sick husband and the flu has not left me untouched. I hope Monday or Tuesday I can show my cute copy of what I am calling the Ballerina Valentine Wreath all tied up with ribbon.

Have a great weekend

Beautiful Women

I have been blessed with many beautiful women in my life. Let me introduce you to some of them. First there's Grandma Walker, she is 84 now and still is a VERY CLASSY LADY!!! Her house is darling, she still has a closet full of clothes we all fight over when she get bored with and I have always known she loves me. Next meet my Aunt Linda, everyone needs an aunt like her. I once wrote a paper in college about how I fantasized about running away to her house. She is kind, giving and VERY LOVING. She has a killer sense of humor and has taught me laughter can help with lots of things. I have another aunt that I don't have a photo of her name is Aunt Marilyn. I love her and have been blessed to always know, if mom wasn't home she would always take care of me and my siblings, she is beautiful and has always been an example of many things to me.

Next meet my MOM, I have always wanted to be like her when I grow up. She is kind, loving and oh so patient. She made our home one filled with love and laughter. She has taught me to love and appreciate all things beautiful. She can sew anything and everyone thinks she can fix any sewing project. Our home has always been a place we choose to go to even when we are adults. The fridge usually has a diet coke and if it doesn't town is not that far. I could go on and on, but as my siblings and children will tell you I get emotional easily and when I think about these women I could weep with gratitude for all the things they have done for me.

A little Catching UP

I don't think I can recap everything that has happened in the last little while, but a few of the highlights are I celebrated my 25th anniversary with my cute husband. We weren't able to go anywhere fancy, but we were able to spend time together which was very nice. On our way to dinner we made a list of 25 things we liked about each other and one of my favorites was that we still laugh together.

My parents are making progress, but I am not looking forward to the new phase in my life with them. I now understand the phrase "sandwich generation" a little better. I can now see that it is a blessing that I don't have a job, I am able to run to Idaho at a moments notice.

Speaking on the job front no leads as of yet, I keep hoping that the perfect job will fall into my lap.

I hope I quickly learn how to take the pictures out of my cute red camera and put them on my blog. I think I can hear my camera talking to me like on the commercial.

Hoping for a good nights sleep, but doesn't look to promising yet. It is 1:00 in the morning.

Hayden is 18 today

Happy Birthday Hayden!!! I can't believe my son is 18 today. You are such a good boy and I am so blessed to be your mother. Have a great year.

Quick Holiday Travel

Getting used to this new adventure of mine and I find so far the only time I have to enter is when I am delirious. Christmas was sweet, all the children were home, we had good food, played games, giggled a lot and had a good holiday. Bart and the boys went to Walla Walla the 26th in really bad weather, but it was all worth it. Ken turned 80 on the 28th and they were able to surprise him. I love that they had a great time just hanging out with just the boys even though the van smelled quite stale upon their return. Adrienne and I headed to Idaho, to help my mom with recovery from foot surgery on the 30th. We went to Cierra's wedding on the 31st and came back to Logan on the 1st. We had a make shift party at by brother Blake's home for New Year's Eve and had a great time. Tomorrow Hayden turns 18 and Jessica's friend from Arizona arrives. I hope I can keep up with all of this, but I do enjoy the late night giggle fits.
